Bring to mind the last thing you purchased or achieved believing that it would make you happier. How long did that happiness last?

And how long did it take before the novelty wore off and you started chasing after the newer model or the next goal? My guess is it probably only took a few weeks.

Getting what you want doesn’t great real happiness, instead it’s wanting what you have.
