Have you ever had the moment when you were thinking negative things about someone only to find out that your thoughts were completely wrong? These negative thoughts about someone can become a story that you tell yourself over and over, and can end up damaging your relationship. And, this is often all be based on assumptions.
I’ve experienced this many times. But, it doesn’t have to be this way. Changing your story to match reality can change your relationships.
To change your stories, ASK:
- Acknowledge the stories for being negative assumptions
- See them with fresh eyes
Your challenge: catch yourself playing those negative stories about the people in your life and then ASK. Acknowledge, see with fresh eyes, and kindness.
