Some things Dr Gary Chapman and I talk about are below:
- With all the success of the book, is there a moment of pride when it comes to the journey?
- Was it quite obvious to see the five love languages, or was it hard to depict?
- Dr Gary Chapman describes the five love languages.
o Gifts – The giving of gifts, the universal display of life.
o Physical contact – The emotional power of touch. E.g. Holding hands. Physical contact.
o Time – Giving the person your undivided attention. E.g. Talking to each other without any distraction.
o Service – Doing something for the other person that you know they would like for you to do. E.g. cooking a meal. Cleaning the house.
o Words of affirmation – Using words to affirm the other person. E.g. You look nice in that outfit. I really appreciate what you did. You know one of the things I like about you.
Where do we get our own love language?
If we are trying to express love to someone else, but it doesn’t seem to be working, could this be because we are reading their love language wrong?
